Mahogany library gallery glass of typical form, the circular large magnifying lens within a molded rosewood frame, and with a turned handle. Also known as looking glasses, library glasses are large magnifiers that were used for looking at larger objects from a short distance, such as paintings in a gallery.

Condition: Generally very good with the usual handling and wear. Some shrinkage separations in the circular molding.
