Photograph showing the front facade of Washington’s residence in Mount Vernon, Virginia, along with a large group of people, possibly the staff that operated the site. The Library of Congress has three photographs of Washington, D.C.-area sites by Luke C. Dillon, including one with the same description as this one. The Massachusetts Historical Society also has a photograph taken at Mount Vernon by Dillon in its collection, dated 1887.

Description

Condition: Photograph generally very good with the usual overall toning and scattered wear. Mounting board good with usual light wear and chipping to edges, easily matted out.
