The compass course corrector is a maritime instrument that determines compass error or deviation relative to earth’s magnetic variation in order to correct a boat’s nautical course or bearings. This one has a central knob with pointer and concentric calibrated turning dials. A small heavy finely cast object, it would also make an attractive desk ornament or paperweight.

The Canadian Wireless Telegraph Company of Canada was founded in 1903 by Guglielmo Marconi, and was renamed the Canadian Marconi Company in 1925.  They manufactured a wide variety of communications and maritime instruments and devices.

Condition: Generally very good overall with the usual light wear and tarnishing.
