Photograph of a wilderness lake a short walk inland at Cape Mercy on Baffin Island in the Canadian Arctic province of Nunavut. Even in early August, ice still floated on the lake. The U-shaped contour of the hills at the opposite end of the lake is evidence of the past presence of a glacier.

A 2015 grantee of the National Science Foundation Antarctic Artists and Writers Program, Helen Glazer exhibited her Antarctica project in a 2017-18 solo show at the Rosenberg Gallery, Goucher College, Baltimore, Maryland, USA, funded with project grants from the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance and Puffin Foundation. The Antarctica project has been the subject of features and interviews in local publications and media and US-based websites with an international audience. Two 7′ x 10′ photographs were displayed at BWI Airport in 2017-18. Past group shows include the New York Hall of Science (2017-18), Baltimore’s Artscape festival (2016 & 17), and the Delaware Museum of Art (2012-13). Glazer was 2014-15 Baltimore Ecosystem Study artist-in-residence, a 2017 finalist for the MD-DC-VA Trawick Prize, and 2012 recipient of an Individual Artist Award in photography from the Maryland State Arts Council. She had a solo show of her photographs at Nailya Alexander Gallery, New York, (2012). She has a BA in Art cum laude from Yale University and an MFA from Maryland Institute College of Art.
