Painting, executed in bold flat areas of color, of a mobile hexagonal radar dish mounted on a United State Air Force tank, its back door opened to reveal radar operating equipment inside. The tank, accompanied by three soldiers, is shown with fresh tread marks atop a grassy hill in a landscape suggestive of the American Southwest. In the distance, two Air Force jets make a sharp ascent and a few others sit outside a hangar on a flat plain. The radar instrument shown was probably produced or proposed by defense contractor, Westinghouse Electric Corporation in the early 1960s.
