The Internationalist Political Globe is a terrestrial globe is surmounted by a metal hour ring, in calibrated full meridian, raised on a Duncan Phyfe style mahogany stand with horizon band supported by four quadrants, the central decorated standard on four molded downswept legs. The following are identified in the “Legend” key:  International Boundary, State Boundary, Steamship Lines, Railroads, Canals, and Mountain Peaks. Oceans are green, geographic entities tan, gray, and green. The mountain peaks are marked with black triangles with the elevation provided. Steamship routes, indicated with solid red lines, are labeled with the distances between cities. Colonies are labeled with initials of the colonizing nation in red. Israel is shown and Alaska and the Hawaiian Islands are labeled as U.S. territories, and indicating a date for this globe after 1948 and before 1959.

Condition:  Globe very good with the usual overall light toning, handling wear. Overall clear with bright colors. Stand good, recently French polished with light wear. Stand possibly associated, from another floor globe, and likely issued without paper horizon calendar.
