Floor Globes

Floor globes are large terrestrial or celestial globes mounted on floor stands. Typical diameters of these globes are 12, 15, 16, 18 or 30 inches. The stands of antique floor globes reflect popular furniture styles, such as Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Neoclassical. They were traditionally were placed in studies and libraries, but in contemporary interiors antique floor globes are also admired for their sculptural qualities and have moved beyond the study to living rooms, entrance halls and corporate meeting rooms and offices.
