Original illustration art for Puck Magazine. This comical image shows a monkey playing the horn while a hippopotamus listens. A banjo, violin, and flute also appear scattered on the ground around the monkey with his sheet music. There is a small oasis in the background, including palm trees.

Puck Magazine was an American journal of political and social satire and humor from 1876 to 1918. It was established by Joseph Keppler, a cartoonist, and was famous for its political cartoons and illustrations.

Condition: Generally very good with the usual overall toning and light wear to edges. Few stray marks. The corners slightly rounded, with lower left corner slightly bent and weakened. A bit acidic and brittle overall.
