Comical fantasy illustration of a gnome having its tooth extracted by a lobster performing the role of “dentist.” Another gnome assists by holding him steady, while a toad watches from a patch of a mushrooms. A jewel rests on the ground, fallen from the hand of the patient.

German text on verso apparently dedicates the image from the artist to his dentist, Dr. T. Klauber.

Condition: Generally very good with the usual overall toning. Mounted within mat, as issued.
