A frog sits in a garden at the base of a white fence, eyeing a bee hovering nearby. The illustration is labeled "Illus. IIB"; it was probably part of a set of illustrations for a children's book or magazine, perhaps also illustrating a song.
Pencil notation lower right, presumably in artist's hand: Joanne Chapman, Illus. IIB, May 17, '49
Condition: Generally very good with only minor toning and wear. Blank margins with glue residue and abrasions from former mat, bumped corners, all can be matted out in framing, though artist's notation, lower right, would be hidden by mat too.
