Original study, in the painterly ink and wash style of Giovanni Battista Tiepolo (1696-1770), renowned Italian painter and draftsman. This vigorous composition captures the feeling of figures in motion characteristic of Baroque art, as a youth throws open a circular door and, along with the surrounding draped figures, gazes upward.
Condition: Generally very good with the usual light wear, toning, soft creases. Overall bright and attractive.
