An original design for low relief ceiling panels incorporating geometric shapes in a lattice pattern. The drawing is executed in gray and brown wash. It was produced at the turn of the century and is signed, dated and titled, indicating that it was produced as an assignment ("devoir"), probably by an architecture student.
Inscribed top "Devoir du 3 Fevrier 1897. Plafond à compartiments." [February 3, 1897 Assignment. Ceiling panels.]
