Nicholas De Fer (1646-1720) was a cartographer, engraver and publisher who issued more than 600 maps, including atlases, sheet maps and large wall maps. He gained a great reputation in his lifetime and was appointed Geographer to the King. The Atlas Curieux was his acknowledged masterpiece.

Condition: Generally very good with only minor overall toning and wear. Central horizontal crease as issued.

Les parties qui la composent, sont des Grands et des Petits Cercles des Lignes droites et des Points Les Grands Cercles sont l’Horison, le Meridien, les deux Colures, l’Equino, l’Equino ctiale, et le Zodiaque, Les Petits sont les deux Tropiques et les deux Polaires, les Lingnes sont les Axes ou Essieus des Poles du Monde; et du Zodiaque. Les points, le Centre, le Zenith et le Nadir. Comme le tout es expliqué dans les Livres, les Globes, les Spheres et les Cartes de Geographie qui ce debitent.
