Terrestrial globe apparently based on satellite photographs of the earth as seen from space, showing land, sea, and some white clouds in the atmosphere. Printed in color on metal globe resting loosely in a clear modernist plastic base with calibrated meridian. The globe was designed by Krent/Paffett/Teifert for Replogle Globes.
Krent/Paffett/Teifert was an exhibition design firm in Boston whose principals were Edward D. Krent, Nicholas B, Paffett and Dana S. Teifert. The firm is now known as Krent/Paffert/Carney and has completed many projects for museums of science and industry throughout the U.S. Krent, Paffett and Teifert patented a decorative baseball globe in 1997.
