A hand-painted tin trade sign in the form of a fish, painted in shades of white and grayish blue, the inside of the mouth painted pink. It is fully three-dimensional, textured in places to resemble scales and painted on all sides. It has all its original fins, which are inserted into the body to project from the top, bottom and sides. This sculptural object once hung at a bait and tackle shop from small holes punched in the upper fins, though it could also could be used to advertise or decorate a fish market or seafood restaurant.

Condition: Generally good, with some spots of rust or peeling paint, possibly from outdoor use.
