Pair of black and white photographs depicting Montauk Lighthouse and a view of the downtown New York City skyline, possibly taken from the vantage point of the Staten Island Ferry.
Montauk Lighthouse has been a Long Island landmark since 1792, when it was authorized by President George Washington. The 110-foot tower was the first lighthouse in New York State and remains as the fourth oldest, active lighthouse in the nation.
