Colorful Art Deco pictorial map of Washington, D.C., bordered with square illustrations of buildings and landmarks. The map shows streets and avenues against a yellow background, including pictures of buildings and monuments such as the White House and U.S. Capitol, and buildings on the Mall. Inset maps in each corner depict earlier maps of the city and one of the surrounding towns. Historic clipper ships are illustrated in the harbor, along with a decorative compass rose. A few buildings in Arlington, Virginia are also depicted. The map is drawn at a scale of ten inches to one mile.

Edwin Olsen and Blake Clark collaborated on a series of pictorial maps of American cities for Houghton Mifflin Company in 1926, including Boston, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
